Heavy-duty, multifunctional and household scissors plus plastic pipe cutters

Professional scissors cut cable, plastic, textile, cardboard and thin materials on site, in the workshop and in electrical work. The shape of the blades and the length of the scissors decide what they suit best.

Choose by material. Electrician's shears with coated handles cut wire and strips; for work on installations there are insulated versions up to 1000V. Plastic scissors or a mitre cutter cut profiles and mouldings straight or at an angle, and a ratchet pipe cutter cuts plastic pipe and tube cleanly. All-round cutters with straight or angled jaws take on tough materials, and heavy-duty scissors give more force through longer handles. For textile and paper, tailor's scissors of 230 or 260 mm are the right choice; multifunctional or household scissors cover mixed work. Also check the length, from about 145 mm to 260 mm: short scissors are more precise, long ones cut faster.

The scissors come from Erdi, Bahco, Gedore, Knipex, Facom, Milwaukee and more. Thick cable needs a cable cutter instead, found with the secateurs among the cable cutters, secateurs and scissors.
